Heartache poured onto a piece of paper under the heat of a desk lamp, accompanied by a haunting song that evoked an overwhelming wave of emotion. I kept it on loop, allowing myself to feel what I’d been avoiding. I allowed tears that had accumulated over time to fall. An open-minded process, transforming the creation of this art piece into a healing ritual that I will never forget.
