What The Brush Remembers
I create for her. She found art early and learned how deeply creation could move both herself and others. Even when told art was impractical, she always returned to herself; observing, feeling, and creating. Experiences began to feed the work, and expression became her language.
Early Passion
Told by her role models that prioritizing art was impractical and wouldn’t take her far, her confidence felt compromised. Nonetheless, she prepared her portfolio and auditioned for a competitive arts program, showcasing her work to a group of judges. Rejection followed. Silence followed. For a period of time, she stopped creating.
Challenges & Growth
Life demanded survival. Emotion accumulated. Art became her way back to herself—an outlet, a language, a form of relief. Observation turned instinctive. Experiences began to feed the work.
Multiple Mediums & Expression
She never belonged to one medium. Visual art and poetry speak the same language to her, and expression was never meant to be singular.
I believe in her.
I create for her.
And I create so others can feel seen.
