Black Fine Point Sharpie on 9” x 12” Medium Surface Heavyweight Paper

One line, unbroken. From beginning to end. The pen did not part from the paper. Not even for a breath, until the drawing was considered complete. It was a beautiful experience, immersing myself in something that I had never tried before. It provoked creativity and flow, immersing me in a technique that uses a single unbroken stroke that evolved from ancient storytelling visuals, to Henri Mattisse. Exploring this technique revealed the resilience of uninterrupted movement. My observation and experience creating this piece made me curious about wire sculpture, which seemed like its natural extension, brought into the third dimension. This piece sparked bold ideas that diversified my technique and the media that I use today.
